Yo. I'm putting out a single called "Scared Of Silence" at either the end of this month or the beginning of May. I was just wondering if you'd be able to help me with any of it or the best ways to get newspaper/ radio interviews, reviews and airplay. There's more info on the single release in my biography on my myspace page. Would be great if you guys could help out.
Nic Bennett is a singer/songwriter playing passionate and intense indie/folk music from Folkestone, South-East Kent. His fusion of heavy/melodic guitars, punk dynamics and pop melodies has been turning heads across England, Spain and Portugal.
As experimental as Sigur Ros, but as accessible as Damien Rice, his intelligently crafted, honest pop songs have already been well received by Prestige Management (managers of Busted, Mcfly, Son Of Dork), when Nic played to them last year. Nic has played on the same bill as the likes of the Electric Soft Parade, Kid Galahad, One Finger Zen and Peter Brame (Fame Academy).
Nic, now 22, is waiting for an operation on his throat so will be releasing Scared Of Silence as a solo single in the mean time. It?s a song which he recorded five years ago but hasn?t seen the light of day until now. Visit www.myspace.com/nicbennett for a 30 second clip of the song, details on the release date and where to buy the single.
For an interview with Nic or a copy of the CD, you can contact him on 07886377518, or via myspace, or e-mail njb17_at_cant_dot_ac_dot_uk_dot_
Thankyou for your support.
