Hi, SEFAN

Can you inform everybody that The Black Horse Festival is back at Telham on the A2100 between Battle and Hastings from  May 26th to May 29th  for it's eighteenth year.  The first was a reunion of the folk club in the pub and the following few were in a marquee with guy ropes with a farm trailer as the stage. It now has a big rig, sound, light system and stage, a second marquee for work shops etc. acoustic sessions in the pub and some major acts on the stage.

Our folk day is the Saturday but we start on Friday May 26th with an evening of blues. Saturday has folk acts coming to us from all over the country and some from our doorstep. These include Jez Lowe and The Bad Pennies, Ron Trueman Border, Emma & The Professor, Wild Willy Barrett and Sleeping Dogz.
After some world music and world influenced music Sunday afternoon with Hohodza from Zimbabwe we have an evening of Celtic music from Tabs acoustic, Blue Horses and Shooglenifty before our Monday sessions of young and sing-a-long party bands.

Please encourage people to see our website at www.blackhorsemusicfestival.org.uk  to get a feel of what the press have labelled "the biggest little festival in Britain".

We are still looking for one or two more  acoustic acts for the pub and somebody to organise our Saturday afternoon folk session for all players and singers also in the pub.

Thank you All for your encouragement and help and support.
Last year was almost the last for this festival but with enthusiastic new members to compliment us old stagers on the committee this festival might survive for another eighteen years.
John Shotton
