We
are delighted to be able to confirm the appearance of Beth Nielsen Chapman on
Saturday 27th January 2007
at Chequer Mead, East Grinstead. Her fans will be buying tickets from the
day they go sale (trust me on this one!), which is scheduled for 1
October. The show will be a sure sell-out, probably twice over. If you
don't know of Beth, then do yourself a favour, buy a CD, and we'll be

some cracking material that deserves to reach a wide audience on its own

Teddy
Thompson is the son of Richard and
Linda Thompson, the finest folk-rock duo in Britain in the days when they
were together. London-born, New York based Teddy has a musical wisdom
beyond his years. His much-praised new album ‘Separate Ways’ distils
perfectly what makes Thompson an artist to take notice of – honest songs,
honestly performed. In 2004, Teddy
featured on the soundtrack of the Oscar-winning film, Brokeback Mountain. He sings two
songs, one a duet with friend Rufus Wainwright. In 2005, Teddy performed
on the television programme, Later with
Jools Holland. This year, he headlined at the Cambridge Folk Festival (click here

This
collaboration between Billy
Mitchell and Bob Fox
has been a long time coming. Both men learnt their musical
trade around Tyneside and have been delighting audiences at home and away
for many years. Billy spent eight years as front man of the legendary Lindisfarne, until their retirement in 2003. In the '70s he founded the seminal Jack the Lad. He has acted (himself) and sung all around the world and recently released his first solo album, 'The Devil's Ground'. Bob Fox has one of the greatest voices on the folk circuit and is a wonderful guitarist too. His musical associates include Fairport Convention, who's annual reunion he occasionally hosts and who grace his recent CD, Dreams Never Leave You. Following his nomination in 2003 as Best Folk Singer and Best Traditional song (with The Hush) Bob gained nominations in 2004 as Best Folk Singer plus Best Original song for his version of Chris Leslie's "My Love is in America" They are both musicians of stunning ability who can bring magic into any auditorium. Now, after many years of mutual admiration, they will share a stage and pool the wealth of talent at their disposal. In concert Billy and Bob will perform alone and together, the material will be cherry-picked from their solo work and the combined back catalogues of Lindisfarne, Jack the Lad, The Hush and Bob Fox & Stu Luckley, to produce a memorable night of songs.
