Subject: FW: Tues 26th Sept ~ The
Roffen
Importance: High

Well nearly time to herald in the Winter with the start
of our new season of gigs at The Bottleneck Blues Club.  What joy to have
those sweltering days of August behind us.....after a 14 day rain-soaked camping
holiday in Dorset (lovely place) in August 1979 I said I'd never holiday in
England again ~ the brats had to be kept occupied all day, the beach was just a
soggy mass, we had to eat in restaurants all the time, it cost a fortune ~ I've
remained true to that & had nothing but wonderful hols
since.
So, the kids are all back at school, there are 81
shopping days to Christmas (I've included Sundays) & you're all back at work
(ughhh!).....by the 26th Sept you should all be straining at the leash for some
live entertainment and have I got a great start for you.
At The Roffen, Rochester on Tues 26th Sept we
have :---
The Ian Siegal
Band
Ian is considered by many to be one of the UK's finest
all round blues artists.....With his friend Matt Schofield
he has been voted one of the top two blues artists in Britain by
The Penguin Book of British Blues above the likes of Eric Clapton, John Mayall,
Otis Grand & Gary Moore.  Check him out on www.iansiegal.com
Doors 8:00pm 'til 11:30pm
Wine & Dine to World Class music at The
Bottleneck Blues Club
If you need a dose of music before then there's still
quite a good selection around & about. Two gigs worth a mention are
:--
Sat 9th Sept _at_ Crawley Blues Club, Three Bridges
Railway Club ~ Jim Crawford  www.crawleyblues.co.uk
The site says that Charlie Morris is playing this date.....that's
incorrect....it is Jim.
And a little nearer home....Sunday 10th Sept The Animals play
Maidstone Leisure Centre, Mote Park ~ doors 6:30pm.  It's worth noting that
Zoot Money will be on keys for this gig.
Arthritis, hangover, prostate, overdraft
notwithstanding, I shall try to get to both of these gigs so hope to see some
familiar faces in the audience & indeed on-stage.
Toodle pip for now.....I'm off to Dalyan, Turkey the
day after our Ian Siegal gig (I'll catch some zeds on the plane!) to stay in one
of Helen & Mike's superb villas....  www.villaindalyan.com so roll on
the end of the month for two very good reasons!!
