Andy Renshaw has organised an evening of World Music in Bishopsbourne Village Hall
A quiet Kent village is set to draw the crowds as it plays host to a concert of world, roots and traditional music. Bishopsbourne village hall is the unlikely setting for the concert which takes place on Saturday November 11th The concert will feature two top bands, Amanes and Relig Oran..
AMANES play wild world roots music. A dynamic and stunning band playing driving Arabic and Balkan dance music. They are currently making a big impression in the world music scene, and went down a storm playing at this years Lounge on the Farm festival in Kent.
RELIG ORAN play cracking traditional music from Brittany, England, Ireland and beyond. Music played with a contemporary and exciting twist. Innovative and dynamic.
Events organiser Andy Renshaw explained
" Village halls are great venues often at the very heart of village life. They are perfect concert venues. I think its very important to support them and support live music in rural areas. Bishopsbourne has the most fantastic village hall, spot on for this kind of roots music, this will be a great night".
The concert at Bishopsbourne village hall is on November 11th. Tickets are £6.00. Doors open at 7.45pm.
A bar will be available and for more information, contact Andy on (01227) 361248 or Gordon on (01304) 619733 andy_at_camine_dot_co_dot_uk
