delivering a series of FREE professional
development sessions in MUSIC
WORKSHOP LEADERSHIP and EVENTS MANAGEMENT.

Are you interested in becoming a music workshop
leader for young people? Are
you an existing music workshop leader and want to
hone your skills? Do you
think you can draw on your talents to help young
people to find theirs? We
will be running an intensive training programme to
empower existing and
potential workshop leaders to confidently plan,
structure and run various
music workshops for young people in both formal and
informal environments.
This programme will be delivered over 8 3hour
sessions and will include:
* Child Protection & Equal Opportunities
* Personal Safety
* Managing Challenging Behaviour
* How to plan a workshop
* How to run a variety of music workshops
* Monitoring & Evaluating

Have you ever wondered how to put on a community
event? Do you understand
the processes involved in outdoor events production?
Could your current
knowledge be enhanced through professional support?
We will be running an
intensive training and development programme to
empower existing and
potential events managers to be better educated in
the running of their
event.
This programme will be delivered over 8 3hour
sessions and will include:
* Risk Assessment
* Understanding the Legality of your Event
* Working with Health & Safety Laws
* Working with Security
* Understanding Your Security Needs
* Working with authorities such as Police or Local
Authority

Applications deadline is 5.00pm, MONDAY 8 JANUARY
2007. These two courses
will take place during February and March 2007, exact
