3) New Roots 2007, Closing Date 31 January 2007

New Roots is an annual event is for young performers of all styles of traditional or contemporary folk, roots or world music, whether you play traditional material or write your own.  Categories are under 18 and 18-24.  To enter, send a cassette, CD or minidisc with up to 15 minutes of your music to Alison Macfarlane, 40 Warwick Road, St Albans, Herts AL1 4DL. Closing date 31 January 2007.

English Dance & Song magazine included a list of 2007 festivals, mainly in England, in its Winter 2006 issue which was published in December. The list is also available at
