A Very Merry Christmas To You All
I can't possibly reply individually to everyone that has sent me a card or their best wishes so I hope this email will suffice from me.
We've had the best year since The Bottleneck started nearly 11 yrs ago & I never forget the commitment you give.......without you it simply can't happen, thank you all most sincerely....so before I start sobbing onto my keyboard a little info........
Firstly a mention of our last gig on Sunday 17th feat. Taka N'Blaze.....I think it was close to a record turnout....an astonishing gig by any measure, superb, virtuosic performances from all the band members & of course a 101% show from Taka ~ who actually ran over by an hour but I don't think anybody was complaining.
I do apologise to Brian & Paul (& their respective parties) for cocking up their table reservations...I'm changing my brand of Scotch & you should see a difference in the future.  Seriously, I've probably had too many balls in the air lately & WILL try harder!!
Our Maidstone venue (Zaffa/Mu Mu) is to close for much needed refurbishment in the New Year, possibly until March so I'll keep you notified of developments there.  So NO gigs in Maidstone for possibly three months next year I'm afraid.
Rochester is unaffected & our 2007 starter gig feat. The Harry Skinner Band on Tues 30th Jan. will be a killer. Harry is a fine guitarist/singer/songwriter & some of you have seen this new line-up before (incl. the very excellent Peter Catlin on 2nd guitar) but this is their first visit to Rochester. I have quite a lot of interest in this gig already & over 3/4 of the seating has gone already.
OK...must get on...a bit of last minute panic shopping beckons & that's me sorted for the festivities.
Have a great holiday...drink too much, eat too much, don't get into any rows & I'll see you in 2007.
John.
