Action in rural
Sussex has £1 million available to spend across ALL of East Sussex, West Sussex
and Brighton and Hove and with only a
year left for grants to be spent we are encouraging groups to apply to the Local
Network Fund while they still can!
The Local Network Fund is aimed
at projects benefiting children, young people and/or their parents and carers.
Locally managed, voluntary, community or self-help groups can all apply for up
to £7000 to run projects or activities which promote new
opportunities.
The fund is particularly aimed at
young people who would not otherwise be able to take part in an activity or
event. This may be for a number of reasons, including, a disability, financial
circumstances, language or cultural issues or because they live in a rural
area.
Schools cannot apply as they are official but outside
groups working with schools can.
So if any of SEFAN group members are doing
things with kids/youth inside or outside school then they can
apply.
When the money is used up the scheme
stops.
In Lewes the person to contact is Claire Reynolds on
473422. Most helpful.
Best
regards
John
