Tom specialises in ‘Northern swing fiddle’ combining Scots/Donegal styles, with Newcastle hornpipes a speciality.  He has a lovely flowing style, beautiful tone and faultless technique, and is also a fine singer with a powerful yet mellow voice. He has played with Bob Fox, Kieran Halpin, his own band Dabhand, & Alistair Anderson’s Syncopace, as well as having a long-standing musical relationship with Chris Newman & Pauline Cato. He’s played on many CDs, including for Richard Thompson & Barbara Dixon.
