Before closing for our summer break, and on the eve
of Guildford's Summerpole Celebrations (
http://www.pilgrimmorrismen.org.uk/
) we welcome the fabulous Belshazzar's Feast as our guests at the Guildford
Institute, Ward Street, Guildford on Friday 4th May, 8.00pm.
After coming together in 1995 Belshazzar's Feast
(Pauls Sartin and Hutchinson) quickly gained a reputation as one of the most
entertaining duos (and most energetic ceilidh bands - even though there are
only two of them!) on the folk club circuit and toured extensively. Not only
are they stunning singers and musicians - they play oboe, fiddle, whistle and
squeezeboxes - but they are also extemely entertaining
(understatement!).
Ticket ordering, purchasing and reserving at the
usual place –
http://www.themusicinstitute.org.uk
– where you will also find out Autumn line-up kicking off with Jez Lowe on
Friday 28th September.
P.S. We still have a few £27 tickets left for the
Waterson:Carthy extravaganza at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 12th May (in
fact more that the Albert Hall have as they've sold all their £27 tickets).
The tickets are in the central block of the stalls 15 rows back from the stage
and are available at face value of £27 from
