Subject: FiTB Beth Nielsen Chapman News
I know some of you have been anxiously awaiting Beth ticket news......
Beth will be returning to Canterbury for a concert at the Gulbenkian Theatre on 30th November. She will be supported by Hebridean traditional singer (and BBC Radio 2 Horizon award winner 2006) Julie Fowlis. Tickets will be £20 and £18 for concessions. They will be generally available from 1 May but as a special treat to you lot for being so supportive and coming to all the Folk in the Barn gigs (hint hint) they will be available to Folk in the Barn members from 27th April which gives you 4 days head start. The Gulbenkian box office are already getting a lot of enquiries, so to indicate that you are entitled to priority booking - when you phone please say you are a member of Folk in the Barn and they will know to allow you to book. The box office number is 01227 769075 or you will be able to book online at
Box Office opening times are Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm (or until curtain up on Show nights) Sat & Sun 5.30pm - 9pm.
You can pay by cheque payable to Unikent and send either an extra 50p or a SAE and they will post the tickets back to you, or you can collect them on the night. You can also pay by credit or debit card but this is subject to an extra £1 transaction fee - And they charge me 3% extra as well so if you can avoid that method, I would be grateful, but don't worry if it's unavoidable. The box office address is Gulbenkian Theatre, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NB. Online booking also incurs a 60p per ticket charge.
Still a few tickets left for John Tams and Barry Coope tomorrow night.....though they are going fairly fast now!
Have a good weekend
(which will be updated as soon as I catch up after Easter Hols)
