    MMP NEWSLETTER – May ‘07

       In April MMP Ltd had 3 shows make Time Out Critic’s Choice in 3 consecutive weeks.  In May the ever-popular Cabaret

     Confidential returns to make a full complement of 6 regular shows across the Capital.  Here are the details for them all:

2. THE LOST SUPPER – Time Out ‘Critic’s Choice’ (24 Apr)

A monthly soiree at Time Out’s ‘Best Bar 2006’, Lost Society.  Dine in the sumptuous surroundings of the Crystal Ballroom whilst accompanied by live jazz, and then sit back and let supper go down as our headlining cabaret

act takes to the stage to top off a classy, unique dining experience.

£38 ticket includes 3-course meal, complimentary cocktail, dinner jazz and headlining cabaret.

£15 tickets available for show only.                             Doors at 7pm, Jazz begins around 8.15.

 

Wednesday 30 May: Dinner Jazz from Regina Kelly and cabaret from Rachel Rose Reid.

3. CELLARDOOR – Time Out ‘Critic’s Choice’ (17 Apr)

Ever fancied sipping cocktails and watching top cabaret in a basement bar that used to be a men’s toilet?

Well now you can!  Every Friday we shall be offering 3 sets of musical campery from Paul L Martin in

London’s most exciting new secret.  Come join us – if you can find us!  First set at 9.30pm.  FREE ENTRY  

 

Broadway Baby, Marnie Baumer will appear in Paul’s place on Friday 11 May.

4. NEW - CABARET CONFIDENTIAL

After the closure of Theatre Museum last December, Cabaret Confidential finally returns with a new home – The Space.

A converted Chapel built in the 1600s, The Space is situated near Canary Wharf and boasts original stained glass, minstrels gallery, and gorgeous black grand piano.  Each month host Jamie Anderson will introduce four diverse talents making their own unique noise in the worlds of cabaret and musical theatre, ably assisted by pianist Richard Link.

5. LIVE LOUNGE

Open-mic performances from Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Pop singers EVERY Sunday.  Food available all night. 

Our host presides from 7pm, so come and sing or sit back and enjoy the performances – singers; bring sheet music!  NO COVER CHARGE but tips for your host and pianist will be collected throughout the evening.

Hackney Empire comedy finalist Sarah-Louise Young (pictured) returns on Thursday 3 May to host the Capital's original talent night on London's premiere floating nightspot.  Graham Norton isn't the only one surrounding himself with talented nutcases and attention-seeking misfits in 2007, and we've already been at it for 4 years.  Reserve a seat now for London's most bizarre cabaret showcase.  Guest co-host: Luke Meredith

6. ALL THAT JAZZ! – Time Out ‘Critic’s Choice’ (10 Apr)

After a highly successful 7-week stint at Soho Revue Bar on Sunday nights, we are pleased to announce that

‘All that Jazz!’ will be back there on Saturdays on a monthly basis from Saturday 2 June – so watch this space!
