We are launching a new club, called Island Folk, based upstairs at the Bradstow Mill, 125,High Street, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1NG. Our intention is to provide quality (mainly) acoustic music across a wide spectrum including folk, blues, ethnic, americana,etc.

 

We will initially open at 7.30 for 8.00pm on the last Monday of each month with a guest artist and floor singers, and the possibility of a mid-month singers' night in the future. Entry on guest night will be £7 (£5 for members).

 

Our current lineup is as follows:

 

Monday 23rd July - Launch Night - Adrian O - singer, songwriter and storyteller. Free membership on our opening night.

Sunday 19th August - Tbc

Monday 24th September - Happy Trails - Americana folk music (www.happytrailsmusic.co.uk)

Monday 29th October - Relig Oran - traditional music from Brittany, England and Ireland with a contemporary twist. (www.religoran.co.uk)

Monday 26th November - Dave Ferra - Blues, sprituals and ragtime guitar (www.davidferra.tripod.com)
