Subject: Last chance to catch Lester Simpson's "Standing In Line"

Our very special concert at Cranleigh Arts Centre on Saturday 10th November, "Standing In Line", is selling very well.  Hardly surprising as it will be the last night on a very short tour of six gigs and probably the last chance to see the show in the UK.

In "Standing In Line" internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Lester Simpson, of Coope, Boyes and Simpson, tells the story of his Great Uncle's war through songs, readings and images (we shall be using the cinema facilities at the Arts Centre). Lester will be joined on stage by Piet Chielens, the curator of the “In Flanders Field” museum in Ypres, Belgium, and Nigel Corbett, who will be providing accompaniment on guitar, mandolin and fiddle.

Originally commissioned for Passendale peace concerts the show is only touring on this side of the Channel for the week leading up to Armistice Day and will be its only performance in the south east of England – don’t miss it.

As mentioned above, tickets are selling fast.  Most purchases to date have been made via the Arts Centre Box Office (01483 871443) which means that some of the best remaining tickets are those being sold online at
Tickets £10.00 in advance, £12.00 on the day.
