HemiHelp, a charity for children and young
people with hemiplegia, is looking
for experienced music workshop leaders in
all parts of the UK to run workshops
for 5-16 year olds.
Hemiplegia is a neurological condition
that weakens one side of the body, and
affects up to one child in a thousand. It
is sometimes described as a form of
cerebral palsy, and the effects are
similar to those of a stroke.
The HemiHelp music workshop scheme was set
up to encourage children with
hemiplegia to take a further interest in
music, and to discover that they are
able to become involved in musical
activities and also able to play musical
instruments. The scheme has been
successfully running for over a year, and
we are now looking to reach more of our
members across the country.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic
and creative workshop leaders that
have experience in working with children
with physical disabilities and
special educational needs, to join a pool
of contacts across the country and
work on a freelance basis.
Music Workshop Leaders of all musical
backgrounds and genres are invited
to apply. All applicants should possess an
enhanced CRB.

considered for this work please email your
