Subject: Hook & Hatchet on Thursday
Hello all,
Now I know it's the night before Gloucester, but I'm going to carry on nagging about the gig at the Hook & Hatchet on Thursday (those of you who aren't on the Kent Cajun mailing list, see the end of this e-mail!)
Please, please do try and make an extra special effort to go to this one (I am and will drive straight to London on route to Gloucester afterwards).
The publicans (as well as the pub) are really lovely and actually want to *encourage* dancers rather than just tolerate them and the place has absolutely bags of potential for all sorts of things.
As this is the first of what they hope will become a regular, monthly evening it is really important that we try to get our a**es there to show support and help to get it started off with a bang.
Hope to see you there...
Cheerio,
Satu
?Listen up, y'all!
This Thursday (24th January), with RedEye, is the first Cajun and Americana night at the Hook & Hatchet.
The Hook & Hatchet is a wonderful, atmospheric country pub (Church Rd, Hucking, Kent, ME17 1QT) near Maidstone - wooden floor, dancers welcome, lots of parking, nice food (what more could you want?!)
The publicans, Malcolm and Patricia, really want to make a go of this and make it a regular monthly cajun & Americana evening so do try to turn up and show your support - it's a lovely venue and has lots of room for dancing.
Kick off for music at 9.00pm or come earlier and have something to eat. There are several veggie options too!
So come on along - dance, listen and enjoy live cajun, zydeco and Americana!
See you there,
Satu?
