in the Ferneham Halls, Ashcroft Arts Centre, Lysses House Hotel and other venues in the twin towns of Fareham and Gosport.

CROPREDY NEWS: The excellent winners of 'Best Duo' at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award John Tams and Barry Coope
and Folk Singer of The Year 2008 Julie Fowlis
will be amongst the many appearing at Fairport's Cropredy convention this year which takes place 7, 8, 9 August
(4pm to 11.30pm on Thursday and noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday).
News from the BBC: 'Later ...' will air 'live' on Tuesday nights at 10pm when it return in April.
The Tuesday show will run for 30 mins with a Friday extended repeat at 11.30 pm

THE END BIT: Critically-acclaimed Canadian folk singer-songwriter Willie P Bennett has died unexpectedly aged 56. Fans of Willie P, Blackie & The Rodeo Kings (who named themselves after one of his songs) and Fred Eaglesmith whose band he played with for many year, will realise what a huge loss is his passing.
