| The Independent - Album of the
Week! |

"A new voice in British folk,
Ruth Notman has gathered together a fine
ensemble for her recording debut - a mix of melodeon,
fiddles, guitars and a fine chiaroscuro of harmony
vocals - plus a collection of songs including Nic
Jones's classic "Billy, Don't Weep for Me" and Dougie
McClean's "Caledonia". Notman has a fantastic
voice well suited to plumb the bottomless well of the
British folk-ballad tradition."
