WORKSHOP (see Kerry's round-up below)
SESSION
AFTERNOON CONCERT
EVENING CEILIDH with FLORIDA

SEFAN has been able to offer some last minute funding support to this Ceilidh via our Ceilidh Consortium AFA award.

(sadly, the proposed 2nd WORTHING Ceilidh is not now going to run within the timeframe, so we had some slack to re-distribute.
Likewise we have been able to support the new Oxfolk (rescue) Committee for the last two dances of their season as well.)

other things around the region

Saturday 29th - March Kent Gathering of Traditional Music

FrittendenKent

One of my favourite villages with a smashing pub! Tim Brooks and I will be there - I'll be teaching a step dance workshop and we are performing in the afternoon concert. Florida are playing for a dance on Saturday night and it promises to be a great day! http://kentgathering.com/

Saturday 19 April - Day of Old Time music and dance workshops with evening concert

This is being put on by our very own Graham Anstee who plays banjo for the Faversham clogging class and promises to be a great day!

At the Rainham Oast House Community CentreME8 7SG,

Workshops and evening concert:

Auto harp: Bryan Bowers

Fiddle: Bob Winquist

Percussive dance: Kerry Fletcher

Bluegrass banjo: Rick Townend

Frailing banjo: Graham Anstee

Many people learn to play music, especially violin, and tap dance whilst at school, and some to a high standard.  Many have a yearning to play and dance later in life, but never get round to it.  This is an opportunity to take part in a day of workshops and enjoy an evening concert with brilliant musicians, a local dance class and our guest artist fromAmerica, Bryan Bowers.

The music and dance is based around American old time and Bluegrass music, and the aim of the workshops and concert is to demonstrate how exciting and interesting the music is to play and dance to, and how accessible it is throughout the UK.

Day of workshops £8, Evening concert £8 or £15 for whole day.

Everybody welcome contact Graham 01634 260281

Workshops start at 10am, Concert starts 8pm.

Timetable to be announced
