1.�PROPOSED SECTOR CONFERENCE
We are returning to ACE,SE with an application for
funding for a REGIONAL FOLK SECTOR CONFERENCE in the Autumn. hopefully October
(after Tenterden)
Our Chair will be sending details about this out
today.
VENUE
Can any member suggest likely venues close to the
M25 and somewhere central to our rather large region!?
We would be looking for facilities as�
one larger room (max 100) hopefully with�suitable
facility for a small�showcase in the evening.�
one smaller room for the breakout
sessions�
on-site catering.
We had thought the Hawth in Crawley to be a good fit
- but they tell me it's all booked up mid-October, an we want to have had this
conference�
before the FAE conference in November.
This is, at the moment, still at planning stage -
but I think the venue might be one of the hardest things to
organise!

3. SEFAN'S CEILIDH CONSORTIUM PROJECT. AN UPDATE
We're sorry to say that a second WORTHING CEILIDH will not now happen under
this grant's timeframe - but this has meant that we
are now able to put more on the table for the new OXFOLK committee
and WOLVERTON Family Ceilidhs towards their last two dances of this
season;�
and put a little money into the�Frittenden dance and Florida's future plans
to mount some village hall dances.
We are extremely grateful to the Lottery organisers for allowing us to
redistribute funds in this way.
