Hello,

Some news:

Planed aren't able to fund us this year but The Laura Ashley Foundation have agreed to give us some funding towards the costs of running the festival and we are most grateful to them. All the tutors are booked with flights coming in from Scotland, Ireland and Sweden and lined up for this year's festival.
Please consider booking your places as soon as possible, as the next edition of FiddleOn magazine comes out soon and will be promoting our little thing in a big way! Call David on 01646 621269 Please join the forum to have your say and catch up with immediate news. www.fiddlefestivalofwales.org.uk

Some Fiddle related events:

Fiddle Hell XIII - Buxton - FREE - 6-9 June 2008 www.fiddleforum.com for details
Lewis Roberts - Luthier
Just in case anyone is interested, there's an evening dedicated to this man and his instruments at Capel Seion, Morriston, near Swansea (he's actually buried in the graveyard there apparently). There will be local musicians playing some of his instruments on 21 June at 7pm. I think your expected to make a donation to the chapel but otherwise it's free. No idea what type of music will be played. John Carpenter, local repair man, has a booklet out about him and there is a bit of info on his website
