Subject: Relig Oran update

Hi there and welcome to a (long overdue) Relig Oran update.
You may have gather by the ups and downs of the website and the cancelling of a few gigs that the band has been through a few trails and tribulations over the last few months, the entrails of which I won’t bore you with. The basic gist is, as ever with bands, a line up thing. With the departure of the bands singer / Mandola player a few months ago and a number of gigs to do, we embarked on finding a replacement. Hence the appearance of both Jem Scott and Chris Sadler on the website (at various times). The out come of this is that the band can do three of the gigs we had written in over the summer (and sadly have had to cancel a few). From the end of summer we will have Jem as a full time member, be working on some new material and get back into the recording studio to finish the (almost complete) CD.
This will make the line up:

Andy Percussion, Kalimba and Bass Pedals.
Martyn Kember - Fiddle,
Jem Scott Vocals, Bouzouki, Guitar and percussion.

I am thankful to say that I see this as a very positive outcome, as it is my dream line-up :o) and I look forward to a new, revitalised and productive band, and I think this is the most important thing.
Here are the gigs we have written in at present.

June 14th Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable. (With Jem
Scott).
(Double bill with the Back Room Boys)

July 2nd Man of Kent, Rochester, Kent. (With Chris Sadler).

July 26th Herne Bay Bandstand, Herne Bay, Kent. (With Chris Sadler). Afternoon.

Also, don’t be surprise if the website doesn’t change for a while as my computer is up the creek (as well!).

Hope all’s good with you and look forward to seeing you soon. All the best
