Hooray – summer’s
arrived (at least it’s visiting
Kent as I write,
hope it’s not just passing through) and we also have a visiting French band to
entertain you at les Batons – our next Sunday afternoon is May
18th.
Yep, another month
has crept by when you weren’t looking! Never mind tho’ – the good news is that
must mean it’s time for an afternoon of dancing, wonderful live music, friendly
chat and fun here in Kent at Hollingbourne Village Hall
Our visiting
French band - AR’h tes bretelles -
are young musicians from the Morvan in the centre of
France. In order
to get a double dose, go to the Bury Bal on Sat 18th and then come to les Batons
on Sunday afternoon. (Bury Bal website – www.burybal.com.) They will share the
afternoon with a selection of our regular amazing musicians who come and play
for us extremely lucky dancers.
For musicians who
want to have a go at playing in the French style, Paul will be hosting a music
session from 12noon to 1pm. Contact Paul for details by emailing this
address.
Les Batons bal
starts at 1pm to 5pm(ish). From
1pm to 1.30pm there will be a beginners French Dance workshop in
the back room, so please encourage friends along.
Important email

You will be sent
an invitation to join "les Batons Yahoo Group" (now I know we've been saying
this for a while but it will eventually happen!) - this is so that we can send
our les Batons reminders more easily.
So, look out for
an invitation to join.
