2) Tradition:DL line-up announced

Tradition:DL, the Dún Laoghaire Festival of Traditional Music, takes place on 1–3 August, featuring performances and sessions at the Pavilion Theatre and Gastropub. Musicians appearing this year include Paddy Glackin, Muireann Nic Amhlaoimh, John Spiers, Jon Boden, Michelle Mulcahy, John Blake, Julie Fowlis, Éamon Doorley and Ross Martin. Tradition:DL will also see the performance of The Frost is All Over, a collaborative project between Tony Mac Mahon (accordion), David Power (uilleann pipes), Dermot Bolger (poetry) and John Comiskey (imagery, direction). 3) Arts & Cultural Management Conference

UCD's School of Art History and Cultural Policy will host a conference on Ireland's cultural management sector on 11–12 July. Entitled 'How Are We Doing? 4) RTÉ lyric fm Composer in Residence

Antrim composer Elaine Agnew has been named the first RTÉ lyric fm Composer in Residence. The scheme was set up 'to allow lyric to build a relationship with someone who would not only write new music for broadcast, but also contribute to the station's programming, education and outreach activities and website in the form of podcasts, a blog and other online events.' The composer will be writing at least three new works during her tenure, including a new orchestral work to celebrate RTÉ lyric fm's tenth birthday. Visit www.lyricfm.ie
