1) Blog

2) West Cork Chamber Music Festival

The West Cork Chamber Music Festival kicks off next weekend in Bantry. The festival runs from 29 June until 6 July and features a number of concerts per day, as well as masterclasses and an exhibition of Irish-made instruments and bows. Visit www.westcorkmusic.ie

3) New positions at DIT

The Conservatory of Music and Drama at Dublin Institute of Technology has advertised four new music positions. The part-time and and full-time roles focus on musicology, vocal studies and chamber music. The deadline for applications is Friday, 27 June. Visit www.dit.ie/vacancies

4) Win CDs with JMI!

This week JMI is giving away five copies of Tundra, a new disc of music by Irish composer Ian Wilson. Tundra is inspired by William Wordsworth's poem 'Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey' and features trumpeter Mark O'Keefe as well as sound realisation by Jürgen Simpson. 5) New spaces for music & work for DEAF

The Dublin Electronic Arts Festival have issued a call for alternative music venues in Dublin. In particular, the organisation are looking for 'Unusual rooms, outdoor spaces and places where live music is not normally encountered.' DEAF are also looking for a salesperson and festival volunteers. Email karen_at_deafireland_dot_com

7) Music Network Capital Scheme

Music Network launches its new Music Capital Scheme this week. The scheme will fund the purchase of musical instruments and other equipment and is open to highly-skilled performing artists, non-professional ensembles and youth/community organisations working with music.
