Hello and welcome to all the very latest
Towersey Festival news. There are still a
few Full Season tickets left and if you can’t make it for the
whole weekend then you can get a Day Season ticket or an Event
ticket to one of our great Festival Dance House
specials. We hope you’ll choose to spend
the August Bank Holiday with us down in Towersey for another

Only A Week To
Go! |
It's only a week until Towersey Festival! Some
of the team are already down at the Site busily
preparing for the Festival and we're getting the office
packed up to head down and join them very soon.
This time next week you could be setting up your tent,
donning your Festival finery and heading along to see
The Commitments at Festival Dance House or joining in
the dancing at the Welcome Ceilidh. If you're
coming along to join us, be sure you've packed your
ticket receipt and we look forward to seeing you
there!

Don’t
forget to pack your finest hats for the Hat
Ceilidh on Monday 25 August at 7.30pm in the
Ceilidh Tent. The Woodpecker Band will
play tunes to keep you dancing all night long and
remember that there is special Festival prize for the
best hat of the night. Big hats,
small hats, posh hats, crazy hats..the more outrageous
the better!
There’s
also a chance to get dressed up at the Monday Night
Festival Dance House Finale. Wear the
most colourful, beautiful outfits you can muster and
help us celebrate the closing night of the Festival with
a
bang! | |
Don't Forget Your
Instruments |
For all you budding musicians out there Towersey
has more chances than ever to get involved and play
music at the Festival. If you’d like
a chance to play on the Festival’s Open
Stage then bring along a CD and a short biog
and sign up at the Steward’s Office on Site 1 (see
Festival Newsletter for full details).
We are also delighted to be welcoming
Rockhopper to the Festival
Showground. Rockhopper is a state-of-the-art
mobile recording studio, which offers you the
opportunity to lay down your best tracks and take a
professional recording home with you.
There is also an abundance of
music sessions and
workshops where you can learn new tunes
and play music with loads of new people.
So don’t forget to pack your

you haven’t already got you 2008 Towersey Souvenir
Programme, you can download the outline Festival
programme and the Children’s Festival Programme at
www.towerseyfestival.com so you can get planning what you want to see and
do. At the Festival you will be able
to purchase a full colour handy pocket-sized Souvenir
Programme complete with artist biographies, photos, maps
and loads of other great Festival news and useful
information.
