The Masters of Tradition Festival
– curated by Martin Hayes – kicks off in Bantry House, Co. Cork, on Wednesday.
The festival runs 13–17 August and features musicians such Iarla Ó Lionáird,

Irish Composers' Collective
The Young Composers' Collective
(YCC), an organisation founded in 2003 to produce concerts of new music, has
been renamed the Irish Composers' Collective (ICC). This coincides with the
launch of the organisation's new performing group, Ensemble ICC, which features
musicians such as Cora Venus Lunny (viola), Kate Ellis (cello), Daniel Bodwell
(bass), Karl Rooney (saxophone) and Roger Moffat (percussion). Ensemble ICC will
give its first concerts next month in Dublin (4 September) and Galway (5
