Autumn - being the run-up to Christmas - is the season for an explosion of new albums, compilations and re-releases - and with them go UK TOURS and special events. Here are three of our Top picks?

SHOW OF HANDS commence a full Autumn programme on the 24th of this month
first with their Theatres & Arts Centre Tour and then their Spires & Beams Tour of churches and historic buildings. It's difficult to think of anything that can add to the excellence of the "show" that is Show of Hands but bringing architecture into the mix is an inspired idea. The duo Phil Beer & Steve Knightley are joined by Miranda Sykes on double bass.

Today's Newsletter was prepared whilst listening to HANS THEESSINK's new album VISIONS with Terry Evans + musical guests: Phil Bloch/percussion, Richard Thompson/electric guitar andBo Diddley/spoken comment. Hans Theessink comments, "We recorded Bo Diddley's hit "Can't Judge A Book By it's Cover" - after the session I went to visit Bo at his home in Florida - he liked our version and commented on it - most likely Bo's last public appearance). I toured quite a bit with Bo during the 80ies - a friend, musical heavyweight and innovator - he'll be sorely missed." All in all a very special blues album and highly recommend by all at NetRhythms Towers.
