ELIZA CARTHY News:
Eliza is suffering from a cyst on her vocal chords that can't be treated during
her pregnancy and unforunately has had to cancel her solo engagements until
2009.  She knows that both the audiences and the venues will be
disappointed and apologises to everyone concerned.  Eliza hopes to
re-schedule dates for next year. The Ashford gig on Nov 14th will now be Martin
Carthy instead.

It's your First
Warning! Sorry to bother you with the "C" word however Christmas will be upon us
in no time at all.

The MERRY CHRISTMAS RADIO STATION will celebrate
its second Christmas commencing 1st December for 12 hours a day (7am-7pm) until
25th December.
Otherwise known as Wolverhampton Community Radio, it
broadcasts on the festive frequency, 101.8 WCR FM and live on line at
http://www.wcrfm.com/

STEVE MORRIS, WCRFM Station Manager, was thrilled
by last year's listener response. As he said in November 2007, "when I came up
with the idea of playing nothing but Christmas music from the beginning of
December through to Christmas Day you could have heard the groans right across
the country because the presenters actually believed that there were only a
dozen seasonal records! They certainly hadn't reckoned with a playlist that
would roam from Fats Domino to Alan Jackson, St. Agnes Fountain, Sonny Landreth,
The Austin Lounge Lizards, Asleep At The Wheel, Tish Hinojosa, B.B. King ....
!"

* There must be many Christmas Music Shows being
planned by our DJ readers. Please let me know where and when and we'll pop them
on NetRhythms Front Page.
