Culture Ireland
Culture Ireland is inviting theatre, dance and music companies/artists to attend the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference (APAP) in New York on 9–13 January. In addition, Culture Ireland will also host a showcase of traditional Irish music at APAP, specifically for international promoters and presenters. Applications are invited from musicians (individuals and groups) to participate in the showcase. The deadline for applications is Friday, 31 October. Visit www.cultureireland.gov.ie

Forum for Music in Ireland
A Forum for Music in Ireland plenary meeting, entitled 'Recession-proofing Music?' will take place at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Westland Row, Dublin on Monday, 3 November. The event will include talks by Dr. John O'Conor, Dermot McLaughlin, Stuart McLaughlin, Rosita Wolfe and Mary Nunan. Visit www.forumformusic.ie

Arts Council NI
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has launched the Creative Industries Innovation Fund, which will fund creative businesses providing services, events, media and originals (‘artefacts valued for their individuality, creativity and rarity’) in Northern Ireland. The £5 million scheme, which is related to the Invest NI programme and is part of an overall plan to grow creative industries by 15% in Northern Ireland, will support the creation of new businesses, or the introduction of new creative content, products or services to existing businesses. There are three different funding levels, with maximum amounts of £10,000, £50,000 and £75,000 respectively.  Visit www.artscouncil-ni.org
