NOVEMBER
11th ...ON
STAGE artists of the
night: DAISY CHAPMAN -
Stripped down to just piano and voice, Daisy's songs
weigh heavy with a haunting beauty and romantic
intensity. Daisy is soon to embark upon a mammoth tour
encompassing Germany, the UK and east/west coast of the
US. - ELIA LO
TAURO - is a full-blooded Sicilian singer-song
writer. He started his career as a dancer in Rome where
he worked for Garinei & Giovannini at the Sistina
Theatre and thereafter continued to work in musicals.
His singing debut was with "Jesus Christ Superstar"
where he had the honour of working with inspiring singer
Carl Anderson. Elia's career took him to Germany
(Cologne) before docking in London's West End with Walt
Disney's The Lion King, Chess, Carousel and Mahabharata.
Elia is working on his debut Acoustic/Pop/Soul Ep with
original songs in English and Italian. - GAYATHRI KRISHNAN
- discovered the beauty of the Blues, the
comforting unpredictability of Jazz and the
experimentation in alternative genres of Western music;
yet there was a void. This was the moment of her
homecoming for she explored the teaching ocean of Indian
music, Carnatic and Hindustani Classical and fell
hopelessly in love with something that always right in
front of her. Her music combines the sensibilities and
nuances of Indian music with alternative genres of
Western Music. - HOLLY DEARDEN - is
a singer songwriter based in London. A familiar face on
the acoustic scene, Holly has gigged her socks off and
has recently released her first album "The Optimist's
Daughter". - JAMIE
ABBOTT - an artist with songs that resonate. With
influences ranging from Dizzee through to Paisley he has
a unique sound which is complimented by a distinctive
vocal. A fan of many musical genres, Jamie's catchy
hooks and conversational lyrics play out in his jagged
pop, making for something rather special. Therefore,
this is already his second time live ...ON STAGE _at_ The
Halo - KEV
FOX - Peter Saville: " Kev Fox is an extremely
stylish and talented young man who deserves all the
success that is most definitely coming his way" Kev Fox,
fresh from several Channel M appearances provides a
masterclass in looped acoustica, his voice dancing on
echoes, wrapped around melodies that are forcefully
present as well as at risk of flying off into the
heavens. - YAN
YATES - great singer/songwriting of the old style
with gripping lyrics and melodies. Acoustic music at its
purest.
