Hi Folks,

I regret to say that we shall not have Richard Grainger with us
tonight.  As I told some of you last night, he had warned me about the snow
forecast for last night and this morning. Unfortunately it has proved
accurate, he is well and truly snowbound and unable to get out of his
village.

For those who don't know, Richard lives in the village of Commondale in the
heart of the North Yorkshire Moors.  As he put it, there are three roads
out of the village and each one starts with a hill!  The snow has been so
heavy that the weight of it has brought down a tree in his garden. and nothing
is getting in or out of the village at present.

I intend to start as for a guest night at 2015 tonight, hopefully all the
floor singers will still be able to make it and I would ask them all to be
prepared to do a slightly longer spot.  If those who were not doing a floor
spot tonight would be kind enough to bring their instruments with them we will
take it from there with a slightly amended singers night.

Don't forget the earlier start, see you
there.

Regards

David
