Annual Tree Dressing at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Singleton, West Sussex
Sunday, 7th December, 2008
12.15 - 4.30 pm
Performances during the day by Rabble Folk Theatre (dance and Midwinter plays), Mythago (spectacular masked dancing), plus Bing Lyle
Lantern making and other craft workshops happening all day for children. Please bring a jam jar, nightlight an piece of string for your lantern.
There is also storytelling, hot chestnuts and mulled cider and mince pies
3.45 Lantern procession to decorate the trees, finishing with a huge spiral dance.
The day is being filmed for the BBC Programme 'Countryfile' and the results will be broadcast as their Christmas edition at 11.00am on Sunday 14th December.
