Subject: JMI Gig
Guide & Bulletin
Dear JMI Reader,
I am writing with some exciting
news regarding The Journal of Music in Ireland. From March
1st the name of the magazine is changing to The
Journal of Music. This change reflects the growing diversity of our
content, but also our intention to grow the magazine internationally.
The Journal of
Music will continue to provide excellent coverage of Irish musical
life, including our regular traditional, jazz and contemporary music columns,
reviews, interviews, listings and news coverage, but in addition, we will have
new writing from the UK, Europe, the USA and more.
As part of this change, we are
skipping the month of March. Our current production schedule clashes with
Christmas every year and in future we would like to avoid that. The first
issue of The Journal of Music will therefore
be April–May 2009, and it will be issued every two months
thereafter. All subscribers will continue to receive six issues a
year.
We look forward to bringing you
more great writing on music in the coming year.
With best wishes,
Toner Quinn
