Community Vox presents…

The Surrey Youth Folk Orchestra

Fancy a FREE six-week course in playing English folk music? If you are
between 12 and 16 years old, play a musical instrument and have a good
musical ear this is a great opportunity for you to learn funked-up folk
tunes from professional folk musicians and eventually play for dancers.

Join us at the Guildford Institute on Saturday mornings in February and
March to learn energetic folk tunes with exciting grooves and adventurous
arrangements. At the end of the course the Surrey Youth Folk Orchestra will
play the first half of a public ceilidh, which will be finished off by
famous English ceilidh band, Toothless Mary.

To be part of the Surrey Youth Folk Orchestra you will need to download a
permission form from our website (www.communityvox.org.uk) then get your
parents to sign it and post it back to us.

Dates for your diaries:

Course dates: 10am – 12.30pm on 14th, 21st & 28th February and 14th, 21st &
