Salut, and a bonne année to you all

Starting 2009 with a lovely duo, Becky who plays swoony accordian and is a member of lots of other bands (Finality Jack, Boldwood etc) and Jon, who's a bit legendary... Moebius, Blowzab, all the others on the 'best of...' list, playing together for us ... well, here's what the Bagpipe Paintings website said of them recently:

Never before in my life have I been witness to a performance such as the one I saw at the Pipers' Gathering Sunday Night concert this summer. The Pipers' Gathering ... let an accordion slip through as an accompanist to one of these world renowned bagpipers and the result was... (expletive) magic. I couldn't keep still, the hair raised on my arms, every time I wanted to close my eyes and let it soak in I had to remind myself that I would not see these two performers again for possibly many years and I needed ALL my senses going so that I would be able to relive the experience as closely to the original as I could.

Well, you can live that experience in Patcham, and even dance to them, as they pull all their French tunes out of the bag!!

Book in advance if you'd like to... <dansezfrancais_at_btinternet_dot_com>

See the new website http://www.dansezfrancais.org.uk for more details and a link to some of their music...

See you on 31st!
