Music news - Gulbenkian
The Gulbenkian Theatre is proud to present a mesmerising evening
of poetry and music.
Friday 6 February
7.45pm
The poems will be mostly sung in English with some verses in Spanish,
plus the evening will also include timeless material by Leonard Cohen, Joni
Mitchell, Tim Buckley and, of course, Nick Drake.
Plus the
film, “A Death in Granada” an informative bio-documentary about
the life and death of Garcia Lorca will also be shown.
"Evocative and
atmospheric... James' wistful melody keeping the focus on those vivid lyrics...
the orchestration is sublime."
