Trinity College of Music are delighted to
present
its third FREE careers event for those interested in working in music
education.

This event
is aimed at people thinking about or just starting out in running music
activities with children or young people/music
education,
or those considering a change in career direction.
The day
features a mixture of practical workshops:
Just the
Job – These sessions present a chance to meet five professionals working in
different roles across the sector. Find out
what
exactly they do, how they got there, and what skills or training helped them.
Featured jobs this year include Music Therapy,
Early
Years, SEN, Youth Justice and Instrumental Teaching.
Community
Music Workshops – Learn about running community music projects through
discussion and hands-on activities with a
practising
community musician
Classroom
Teaching – The leader of Greenwich University’s PGCE course gives an overview
of the course content and what it’s like to
teach
music in a classroom setting.
Sector
Focus – three workshops focusing on: alternative methods for funding your
work, how to make yourself stand out from the crowd
to
prospective employers and where opportunities for work in the sector
lie.
CV Surgery
– Get one-to-one advice on your CV from Trinity’s Careers
