Friday 10 July will concentrate oncelebrating music in schools and Saturday 11 July will be a series of public platforms across London to showcase the talents ofLondon’s young musicians.Partners are invited to suggest ways in which they can involve and engage not only young people already making music, but also thosewho would like an opportunity to do so. Tell us what activities you already offer or can facilitate. Perhaps you already have anevent happening on 11 July or can stage one to tie in with the day of celebration on 11 July. Whichever way you can be involved,we will promote your partnership with us and the activities or services you offer on our website and in a specially produced Rhythmof London guide. All types of music are welcome in any location. The possibilities for the range of activities are endless and can be as varied assimply telling us what you or your organisation offer young people to staging a special Rhythm of London event on 11 July. Perhapsyou can offer free tickets to young people on 11 July for an existing concert or activity, organise a pre-performance talk, plansome foyer activity, join forces with other organisations and create a massed performance in an unusual location around London.Whilst our key aim is to raise awareness and promote what you are already doing, we can also facilitate certain spaces in thecapital for the right proposal. To register your, or your organisation’s interest, please email us at rhythmoflondon_at_london_dot_gov_dot_uk and we will contact you in duecourse with further information. As the campaign gathers momentum, our website will be the place to see what London’s schools are planning for their day on Friday 10July and to see what is being offered by a whole host of Rhythm of London partner organisations. We really look forward to you being part of Rhythm of London.
