Virtuoso Zimbabwean-born guitarist Tony Cox has
relocated to the United Kingdom. I saw him play the Half Moon Junction in
Putney, London recently. Tony's style is hard to pin down. It's an eclectic
mixture of folk, bluegrass, jazz and blues, with a strong African kwela
influence. He has played numerous festivals and venues worldwide. It's an
experience to watch Tony's total mastery of the finger picking style, coupled
with the rich warm tones of his custom-made Mervyn Davis guitar and his strong
sense of melody and rhythm. Apart from that you couldn't meet a warmer,
friendlier, down-to-earth, more unassuming artist. Check out his music and tour
