A series of "Drum n bRass" music workshops are starting up at The Light Lounge in Basingstoke from Wednesday 25 March, 7.30pm-10.00pm.

The sessions are FREE and the training is SIMPLE, FUN and open to anyone interested in percussion or brass.  So whether it’s tuba, sax or trumpet; djembe, darabuka or dustbin; dust it off and bring it along!  ALL abilities welcome and some drums/percussion will be available if you don’t have your own.

Come and be part of this community street band for events, parades and live music performances.  These accessible workshops will develop a unique sound of the street, with a lively carnival blend of drums and brass - and a twist of fun and interaction.

At the end of this series of 7 workshops there will be a performance on Wednesday 20 May at The Light Lounge.  There are also plans for the newly formed group to play at the Basingstoke Live Festival and Fringe Festival events.

The sessions will be run by Colin Berry (Brass) and Paul Midgley (Percussion) with assistance from Drum Runners Fez, George and Greg.

Get involved, don't stop your carnival!
