Subject: les Batons gathering - Sunday 21st June

Midsummer greetings to all you lovely people who enjoy playing and dancing to French “bal traditionnelâ€ð. Come and celebrate the longest day of the year at the les Batons gathering on Sunday June 21st – a truly convivial afternoon – good company, wonderful music and fabulous dancing…

Why not initiate some friends into the fun of French dancing this month (instead of having them round for a barbeque – less work and certainly less mess)?

Phil is leading the music session from 12 noon to 1pm, so come and make the hall sing with all those wonderful tunes from the les Batons repertoire

This is the last les Batons before our 2 month summer break (all those super festivals to go to here and in France). Then we’re back with a bang on Sunday 20th September when Amuseon from Picardy will be playing for us with their latest line up.

Most of you probably know these essentials:

Where: Hollingbourne Village Hall, Eyhorne St, Kent, ME17 1TR

When: Sunday 21st June 1pm to 5pm

Cost: £4 on the door

More details on http://lesbatons.googlepages.com.The car park is behind the village hall and there is a train service on Sundays. There are 2 pubs next door to Hollingbourne Village Hall, both serve Sunday lunch and drinks can be brought into the dance.

We’ll see you there…
