Hello again there Beau.

Chris here from the Chambers in Folkestone once more, hope I find you well & thriving. We were first in touch around the end of April & I was keen to keep you informed about a new event we're hosting our CHAMBERS FOLK WEEKEND. Its the first time out for this event & we're most excited about it.

We have music through the evening of Fri 19th thanks to a number of local folkies & some new players that I've recently been introduced to, culminating with SYD ARTHUR playing headline.

The Sat will be a day of various performers who make up our open mic' night (which incidentally is off to a real running start, VERY pleased with it) plus anyone who may request a slot before hand too. My open mic' night host Tony is down at the Small World Festival this weekend to see who he can spot to play over our event. Our headliners for Sat' eve are NATHAN BALL of the Ballinski Project followed by SCENIC ROUTES from Brighton, both of which I'm really very pleased to've got hold of for the event.

The Sunday is looking to be very much an open stage / jam event for those that attend over the previous day which will be held upstairs in our coffee shop, which is often our venue of choice for acoustic events through the summer months.

All in all should be a great weekend, we're all silly keen this end!

Don't know if I could solicit any tips from you as to where I could send posters either by post or email, or just some names that'd be good to contact? This is a fairly new scene for us at Chambers, & whilst we're certainly are keen we also certainly don't have the network of connections yet, so any help would be most gratefully received.

Thanks in advance Beau,

regards,
Chris.

Hi Chris,
Good on you doing good music.
Happy to list it, no charge, but the day job has got in the way this month, April calendar was up, but never got to the news.
Keep the info coming, plain text as per your email works well, or MS Word documents, but .jpgs are difficult.
cheers,
    Beau

Howdy Mr Webber,
My names Chris Smith & I own & run The Chambers bar & restaurant in Folkestone & have done for over ten years now. We've always featured live music and are always keen to impress that artistes put as much original music or standards in their set as is possible (I steer away from Oasis covers etc with a cringe, if you get the picture). Starting this Saturday & every fortnight after, we're taking over hosting a well established open mic night which formerly took place at the Whole World Cafe also in Folkestone which sadly recently closed. It seems the open night was one of the consistently busy attractions in the events calendar and I have great hopes for it prolonged success with us here at the Chambers. I've included a couple of shots of events which I hope would be useful but please contact me for more information if your time allows. We always host live music through the week - normally of a jazz or folk / flamenco / latin bias every Thurs evening with dining, and would welcome the opportunity to regularly feature in your listings. I understand that this may carry a 'charge' for your time so could you give me a indicator of what that may be.
Regards,

Chris.
