Hi Folks
There are 6 storytelling events for adults in Surrey between now and the end of October (more to come in November and December!!) Details all below!
The Three Heads in A Well Storytelling Circle has some exciting guests for the autumn, and  we continue to welcome people to come and tell a story too!

The Waxing Lyrical Storytelling practice and coaching group is developing nicely. We have an open format – so even if you don’t have a story to tell yet - come along, you can join in the exercises, listen to other people practicing and you may pick up a few tips on the way.
The Fearsome Fairy Tales for Fearless Adults Tour of Surrey is now underway. Members of the Surrey Storytellers Guild are visiting different venues in Surrey to share the magic of storytelling for adults with new audiences. It will be a different combination of storytellers each time – so you can keep going back!  Please feel free to attend them- there will be open mike spots at them- so feel encouraged to offer a story!
There are two storytelling workshops for adults for the autumn. Alex is doing a beginners course, and Shonaleigh Cumbers (who is our guest in November) is running a voice workshop. Please book early for both as they are both proving to be popular !

Plus the Guildford Book Festival has some storytelling events!

Shonaleigh Cumbers - Voice Workshop for Storytellers
“We will be covering basic vocal technique because "the worst story to be told is the one you can't hear".  We use narrative to make sense of the world, we use story to navigate our way through.  The person, child or adult who can tell a story has also developed the confidence to communicate in a job interview, to mediate in an argument and the confidence to know who they are.  We live in a world of Bebo, Facebook, text and email; many young adults find it easier to communicate electronically than enter into a dialogue face to face.” Suitable for beginners and people who have some experience of telling stories.
Venue: The Sanctuary.St. Michael's Church,Church Street,Ewell,
              Surrey. KT17 2AS.
Time: 10-4pm
(Please arrive from 9.30am for refreshments)
