Actually- i could also benefit from a melodeon teacher  living someone near me in Epsom / Kingston/ Wimbledon/ Guildford or all stops in between?

My local music shop can provide me with lists of violin, piano, and guitar tutors- but laughed at me when i asked for a melodeon tutor.

They need to be able to cope with someone who doesn't play by ear, nor is able to read music, but really wants to give it a try!!

I get occasional tuition from a colleague, but they live some distance away and i think it would help to have some one closer that i saw on a regular basis.

So if you know anybody????

Do you have a tutors list??

So anyone able to help out here?

and should SEFAN start a list of (Folk) instrument tutors in area?

I think it might well be worthwhile - so ....

if you play and would be willing to do some spare-time teaching please come back to me with
a. Name
b. instrument/s
c. geographical area

additional information could be ...
1. ability levels - it might be that you're pretty competent at an instrument and could certainly help beginners but
wouldn't feel comfortable doing more than that. Often people just need some help with getting started, so if you say
beginners/intermediate only that would be fine.
2. age range  (don't forget that for teaching children/vulnerable adults you should have current CRB check certificate.
3. any day time restrictions
