Ward

Good day,
Below is an overview and poster of an upcoming
concert in Sturry, Canterbury featuring international harpist, Robin Ward, that
I thought might be of interest to members of Kent Folk Club. I was wondering if
you would be able to pass it on to your members and anyone else who may be
interested. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
International harpist, Robin Ward, will be performing at
St. Nicholas Church, Church Street, Sturry, Canterbury, CT2 0BL, on Saturday the
14th of November, starting at 7:30pm. The programme, entitled 'From the
Golden Age', contains a wide variety of music, including pieces by Trabaci,
Froberger, Buxtehude, Parry and Glinka, as well as a number of traditional airs
for the harp, amongst others. Tickets are £8 Adults, £6 Concession and
a donation for children under 16. For bookings & enquiries please contact
01227 710 447.
Originally from New Zealand, Robin has performed as a
soloist and as part of various ensembles throughout New Zealand, Australia, and
the UK. Robin builds his own instruments, and is one of only a handful of
professional triple harpists in the world. Recently he released his first solo
CD, and if you would like to read a bit about him you can visit his
website; www.earlyharps.com, on
which there is his current programme and a video of a performance. More videos
of Robin’s playing can be found on his YouTube profile http://uk.youtube.com/user/seb25arpa.
If
you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact
me.
Many thanks,
