Pig News
Hello again! Still the b-list Pig's Ear correspondent I'm afraid. Sue & Grant now back from Oz, but apparently I did 'such a good job' last time, that they thought I'd better do it again! Hmm, flattery will get them everywhere.

All the gigs have gone very well of late, despite all but Lyndsey suffering from 'orrid colds - we may have been singing more 'dree bard arbody' than 'three part harmony', but we got away with it, and no one seemed to notice. The heaving throngs have simply bellowed for more wherever we've went..

The most important news is that our post-Crimble/pre-New Year gig at the P&J is now confirmed...

Tuesday 29th December - Pig's Ear Post-Christmas Night! - NOW CONFIRMED!
The Punch & Judy, 11 St Stephen's Street, Tonbridge, TN9 2AB 9:00pm
Now a definite confirmed booking! We will be doing a slightly late Christmas show at the Punch & Judy, between the Christmas & New Year festivities. It'll give us all a chance to take a break from the turkey curry & stale mince pies, while keeping the holiday spirit alive until 2010 comes crashing in upon us all.

Monday 18th January 2010 - Pig's Ear - Tonbridge Folk Club (Nellie's)
The Rose & Crown, 125 High Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1DD 8:00pm
Time to leave behind the festive songs and look toward whatever 2010 might bring; in this case a welcome return for us, as guests at Nellie's Folk Club, where a good crowd and bountiful entertainment from resident and floor spot performers alike, is guaranteed. Come along and enjoy this thriving club.

OTHER BREAKING NEWS (or not!) :-

The Punch & Judy.
Believe it or not the P&J has changed hands yet again since my last Newsletter! However it seems as though things are going to continue as planned with 'acoustic' (no drum kits) music every Tuesday evening, arranged by your truly. Every fourth Tuesday will be an Open Mic night, so bring your ol' banjo along an' give us a toon! ...There will also be music at the P&J, usually featuring bands with drum kits, every Sunday afternoon from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and I believe their Thursday jam nights will also be continuing.

The Cardinal's Error.
I do not have dates for the new year as yet, but rest assured someone will be playing there one Thursday evening in January. I am hoping to get A Band Called Dave, but until I have a date fixed, I can't book the band! ...So you'll jest have to keep yer eyes peeled!

Dangerous Age
I have been similarly lax about organizing gig dates for the rock band wot I am da singist wiv! ...But be warned, we'll no doubt be out there somewhere in due course! Give me a ring if you wanna come and hear the best Classic Rock around, or if you wanna know where to avoid us...

Well that's quite enough waffle from me. I/we hope to see all of you somewhere soon, perhaps lots of you at
The Punch & Judy on 29th Dec for some between festivities chill out folkiness! Otherwise perhaps at our Tonbridge Folk Club gig at The Rose & Crown on 18th Jan 2010.

Meanwhile do all have a very merry Christmas, and everyone connected with Pig's Ear wish you all a prosperous New Year for 2010. ...TTFN
