Subject: Cajun & Zydeco comin' up!
Hello all,

Quite a few things coming up this month - perfect for shaking off that winter blues (and keeping warm! Brrrr!)!

This Sunday, 14th February, there's firstly the CAJUN & ZYDECO DANCE WORKSHOP with Kay Anderson - 2.30-4.30pm at St Peters Church Hall (154 Cromwell Road, Whitstable, CT5 1NA).  Entry £3.50.  The workshop is followed by JUMBO GUMBO gig at The Old Neptune (Marine Terrace, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1EJ) at 5.00pm - Perfect for after the workshop - The Neptune is only 10min walk form St Peters!!!  Yay!!!

Brilliant - what a better way to spend Valentine's Day than to take your loved one dancing!  Aawww...!

Then on the next weekend, Saturday 20th February, is our Annual Mardi Gras party with The Whiskey River Boys!  Put on your gladrags, masks and beads and dance the night away at St Peters Church Hall (154 Cromwell Road, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1NA). Doors 7.30pm, band 8.00pm. Tickets (£7) and information from Satu at 01227-274340 or from the workshop on the 14th February. No bar - Please bring your own refreshments. Please also note that this event has sold out in advance in the past so early booking advised.  Do also call to check for ticket availability before travelling a long distance.

And gigs just keep coming the week after that:

On Wednesday 24th February REDEYE are at The Man Of Kent (6-8 John St, Rochester, Kent, ME1 1YN) at 9.00pm

And on Thursday 25th February 2010 it's the CAJUN AND AMERICANA NIGHT at The HOOK & HATCHET - This Thursday with our friends from the south, The Cajun Dawgs from Hastings!  The Hook & Hatchet can be found at Church Road, Hucking, Kent, ME17 1QT. Music from 9.00pm, food served from 6.00pm!  Now. The Hook and Hatchet suffered quite badly during the January snow due to it's location and they have been really good to us dacers and cajun & zydeco fans so DO go and support this event.  Some of us are planning to go and eat there before the gig so come and join us - the more the merrier!

If you're based further west, Thursday the 25th is also an excellent opportunity to catch JUMBO GUMBO at Tonbridge.  They are playing at the delightfully named The Cardinal's Error (Lodge Oak Lane, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 2EP) at 9.00pm

And you can also see them at The Flowerpot (96 Sandling Road, Maidstone Kent, ME14 2RJ) at 9.00pm on Friday the 26th February if your zydeco shoes just wanna keep on dancin'!
