Hi there and a winters greeting from Relig Oran. We trust your festive season was merry and hearty. Just a few lines to let you know of a gig or two coming up and some other Religy bits and bobs.
Firstly, and apologies for the short notice, the band are playing at
Coach & Horses, Whitstable, this Friday evening (8th Jan). Free and kicking off around 9pm.
Then at the end of the month ORANGE STREET MUSIC CLUB with the fantastic ‘Pogue Traders’ you guessed it, they are a Pogues tribute band. Canterbury, SAT JAN 30TH (01227) 760801 8.00 PM TICKETS £6 in advance/£7 ON THE DOOR. Go on, you know you want to..... This is a Twilight folk event www.myspace.com/twilightfolkclub

At last the band Myspace site has some live tracks recorded in Whitstable to have a listen to. www.myspace.com/religoranband Although not studio quality, we feel they have that ‘live edge’ :o) BUT even more exciting (for us anyway!) was the bands return to the recording studio in mid December, which saw the start of recording the Relig Oran album proper. December also saw a very nice little articles about the band in the magazine ‘The Imp’, cheers people of Imp.
